Missing your favourite locally brewed beer in lockdown? The Beer Spot’s got you covered with home deliveries during Alert Level 4 (and Alert Level 3 when we get there!)
Ben Kelsey, one of the owner-operators at The Beer Spot Whangaparāoa, says the bar can deliver any beer from its tap menu to anyone on the Coast or the wider North Shore area in freshly pressure-purged bottles.
Delivery days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and orders can be sent to Ben@thebeerspot.co.nz.
Make sure your email contains your name, address, a contact phone number and your beer order using the tap numbers on the menu. The Beer Spot team will email you back the cost and a bank account where you can deposit payment for your order.
Wine can also be delivered – just drop Ben an email to discuss what you want and get a price.
Ben says they are also selling The Beer Spot branded hats, t-shirts and hoodies.
“As we have an alcohol off-licence, we are able to make contactless deliveries to our local Coastie mates. Times are tough in hospo and we are lucky we can still operate in a small capacity with these restrictions. We are still also able to pay our local staff 100 per cent of their wage,” says Ben.
Don’t think of it as buying beer, think of it as supporting a local business and its suppliers, who are all independent New Zealand breweries and wine makers.
